Our journey began not in a boardroom, but in the quiet courtyards of Mithila—where the aroma of freshly roasted Thekua lingers in the air, and where stories are painted on walls and sarees with fingers dipped in tradition.
It all started with a simple yet powerful dream in the heart of Ashish Thakur, a son of the soil, who grew up amidst the rich colors, flavors, and folklore of Mithila, Bihar. Living away from home, he realized how deeply he missed the taste of Sattu prepared by his mother, the crunch of locally sourced Makhana during Chhath, and the beauty of a Madhubani saree draped with love during family festivals. But more than the nostalgia, he saw something greater—the urgent need to preserve and promote these treasures before they faded into memory.
What began as a longing for home turned into a mission. Ashish gathered a small, passionate team—people who didn’t just believe in business, but in belonging. Together, we envisioned Mithang Mantra not as a company, but as a cultural bridge—connecting hearts, heritage, and homes.
We knocked on the doors of rural artisans, sat with farmers, and listened to their stories. With every product we curated, from a humble packet of Dry Gobhi to an intricately hand-painted saree, we made sure it carried not just quality, but a soul.
